Full Job Description
To supervise and coordinate building construction activities, ensuring that works are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and agreed project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily building construction activities, including foundations, concrete works, structural elements, blockwork, plastering, and finishing works.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and approved shop drawings.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure activities are completed according to the approved project schedule.
Conduct site inspections and coordinate consultant inspections and approvals. - Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable Dubai regulations.
- Monitor workmanship and material quality and ensure compliance with approved quality standards.
- Identify site issues, resolve technical challenges, and escalate matters requiring management or consultant decisions.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain site records.
- Coordinate material requirements, quantities, and site resources.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements on site.
- Assist with snagging, defect rectification, testing, and final project handover.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building construction projects.
Practical experience in structural works, concrete construction, and architectural finishing. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of construction quality standards, site coordination, and project documentation.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality requirements and other relevant UAE authorities’ standards.
- Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Mandatory Requirement
A valid Dubai Municipality Engineer Classification Certificate is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of construction planning, site reporting, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
